We are aware of ongoing issues on our payments pages with failed transactions related to debit and credit cards from the NatWest/RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) Group, this also includes Sainsbury’s Bank among others. This is being investigated by Mastercard and the NatWest/RBS group, and unfortunately is currently out of Bolton Council’s control. If you are having problems making a payment, please call 01204 331634 and press 2 to speak to an advisor. Payments taken over the telephone are unaffected by this problem so cards from these providers can still be used to pay via this route if you are experiencing issues using them online.
