Using play work theory to better understand how to support children’s play. This course will look at Dysplay which is useful in explaining some of the reasons why children may struggle to engage with peers. Participants will learn how to recognise children’s play frames and be better equipped to support them.

Aims:
• Use playwork theory to better understand how to support and enhance children’s play
• Learn how to recognise children’s play frames and identify when intervention is needed to enhance children’s play.
• This course will look at Dysplay which is useful in explaining some of the reasons why children may struggle to engage with peers and how we can support them.
Outcomes:
• Learn how to support children who may struggle to engage with others during play.
• Be confident in recognising the play cycle and when adult involvement is wanted or need.
